Born in 1988 in Krasnodar, Russia, Daria Shcherba began her art education at Krasnodar Art School between 1996 and 2004. She completed her undergraduate studies in Industrial Design at Krasnodar State University of Culture and Arts from 2007 to 2012, and later obtained her master's degree from the university's Exterior Design faculty.

The artist has been a member of the Russian Artists Creative Union (TCXR), an official partner of UNESCO and IAA-AIAP, since 2012. She has also been a member of the International Association of Plastic Arts (UPSD) since 2013, continuing her artistic activities.

Living in Istanbul since 2013 and producing her works in her studio in Yeldeğirmeni, Shcherba has participated in exhibitions on numerous international platforms, notably in Japan, Serbia, Russia, and Turkey. She maintains a dynamic and continuous production structure through gallery collaborations and collector projects.

Daria Shcherba's artistic practice blends the strong technical discipline inherited from the Russian academic tradition with a modern surrealist narrative. Her work is situated in an area where reality and the dreamlike intersect, investigating hidden meanings beyond architectural textures and urban traces. Moving fluidly between traditional mediums such as oil, acrylic, and ink, as well as digital (3D) techniques, the artist creates a powerful bond between historicity and contemporary art, particularly through works composed on centuries-old Ottoman papers. The artist presents the layered structure of cities and the transformation of form into essence to the viewer through her distinctive, versatile, and characteristic line.
